What Rho Phi Is Doing
Rho Phi is currently conducting several programs elected by previous Quorums. Actions with approval to be published for public view are reported here.
Rho Phi Recruitment Campaign
Rho Phi is currently seeking members under the direction of Committee C000-000-603. This effort is being led by the duly appointed Deputy of Propagation, the identity and methodology of which will be published at their discretion following the completion of the current period of recruitments. Applications can be found on our Application Page.
Rho Phi is pursuing a Chapter at Georgia State University.
Rho Phi Subdomains
Rho Phi has elected under A000-000-705 as documented in D000-705A to allow members discretionary control of a subdomain of their choosing (when available) at rhophisociety.org. Members interested in taking this opportunity to create personal or professional websites with their preferred subdomain should contact their relevant presiding Secretary.
Rho Phi Scholarships
Rho Phi is in the process of procuring state and federal funding and is currently dedicating member dues to the provision of scholarships, grants, and awards to: (1) Members in their senior year of high school demonstrating high academic achievement and alignment with the organization and (2) Members demonstrating significant improvement of their community through professional ventures with great need of funding. These acts are required to be deliberated upon and confirmed by the Committee on Resource Oversight Service for Education, Scholarship, Benefits, and Universal Development (ROSEBUD) ratified as C000-000-604. Rho Phi has also elected under L603-000-500 to award new Members fulfilling Merit Category VI (Kindredness) with relief from Member dues in the current Term.
Rho Phi Professional Profiles
Rho Phi has elected under ROSEBUD to provide Members with professional development services such as resume consultation, publication of commendations as a Member, and publication of Secretary curated professional profiles on this Website subject to the application of the Member to the appropriate Secretary and ratification by that Committee. Currently published Profiles can be found under the "Notable Members" section on the Directory Page Rho Phi also offers official Letters of Commendation to Members on Rho Phi letterhead for submission at institutions including personalized impressions, Quorum voting records and success rates, and presentation of authenticated achievements.
Rho Phi Compensation
Rho Phi does allow fair compensation for real, specific services rendered to the Society per Amendment 29 of the Constitution of Rho Phi. The process to invoke this compensation requires rigorous valuation, presentation by a Treasurer, and ratification by a Quorum. Members in any role are encouraged to document their services to Rho Phi. Attendance, holding office, maintaining status, and voting are not in themselves services to Rho Phi. Members with documented contributions may be eligible for this compensation given the proper review and ratification.
Rho Phi Research
Under ROSEBUD act L604-000-600, Rho Phi has elected to leverage its resources to supporting member research development and publication. Current research initiatives include the development of a journal for the publication of members' research in various fields, a sponsor pairing program for members' research groups, and a grant program for funding members' research projects.
